The external gains in such an environment were very large, but external shading and insulation to the roof areas allowed a low energy system to be installed. The energy savings over a conventional system have been dramatic. The internal environment was designed to be controlled without the massive plant and fan power that would normally be required.
A thorough design programme was undertaken providing the client with a series of prototype units manufactured to the architect’s visual requirements.

Bespoke Air Displacement
Once the aesthetics of the terminals were approved a full scale laboratory test was carried out to make sure the performance levels of the unit remained within the scheduled criteria.
After completing the design programme, the approved displacement terminals were then manufactured and installed into the airport creating an e energy efficient fresh air environment for all to benefit from.
